Our small but powerful team is growing and we're looking for a Senior Engineer to help design, build and extend our machine learning, robotics and AI vision. You'll be working with our chore team of engineers, making a long-term impact on the engineering roadmap. Although this role will focus on the Back End, well-rounded, full stack engineers who can help with frontend are a plus. As a small team, we heavily value new ideas and opinions with an open team dynamic that is necessary for long term success and innovation.

What you'll be doing:

• Be part of a pioneering team that is reshaping the construction industry.

• Utilize your skills in Python, Flask, AWS, serverless architecture, web scraping, orchestration, web APIs and cloud native practices to build cutting-edge, SaaS solutions.
• Contribute to products centered around data ingestion, document digitization, and robust data pipelines.
• Gain exposure to a diverse range of technologies, including machine learning, robotics, and AI vision.

Job Details: Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and robust data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient data flow from various sources.
• Contribute to the digitization of documents and implement systems for seamless data extraction and processing.
• Create and optimize data pipelines to support advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end development process, from design and implementation to testing and deployment.

What we look for:

• Solid understanding of web scraping techniques and web API integration.
• Versed in automation tools for data handling - Selenium, Playwright Puppeteer
• 5+ years developing & maintaining SaaS software solutions (bonus for startup environment)
• Proficiency in Python for developing backend services, data processing, and scripting tasks.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Well versed with cloud-native practices, microservices architecture, containerization, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS cloud platform serverless architecture and services like Lambda, S3, Gateway, EventBridge, etc.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data orchestration and data processing pipelines.
• AWS Amplify, Firebase or other cloud development platforms/tools
• REST and GraphQL APIs - Design & Development
• NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or MongoDB
• Local Remote - Must live in NYC Area
