Python Job: Software Engineer - Python, Linux

Position: Software Engineer Python, Linux

Duration: 6 months (possible extension or conversion)

Location: Hybrid with 3 days onsite requirement

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a framework for model-driven computations on a graph
• Build infrastructure APIs for grid computing, data storage, and access
• Conduct unit testing, improve reliability, and enhance compute pipelines' quality
• Learn Python, its ecosystem, community, and best practices
• Contribute ideas for improving the model and data platform and assist in their implementation

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of full-time work experience as a Software Engineer
• Strong understanding of computing fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and programming languages
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with a compiled language like C/C++/Java
• Exposure to numerical libraries such as Pandas and Numpy for data processing
• At least 2 years of experience developing Python, C, or C++ packages and APIs
• Ability to think abstractly, conceptualize ideas, and reason about program behavior at different levels of abstraction, from hardware to applications.
