Summary ( Remote/Hybrid)

We seek an ambitious and self-motivated QA automation engineer to join our core engineering team to keep up with customer demand.

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing the functionality of web and mobile applications, and designing automated tests to validate their performance. You will also be required to identify bugs, interact with APIs, and collaborate with the software implementation team.

To ensure success as a QA automation engineer, you should have advanced programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent time management skills. A skilled QA automation engineer. Can design and write efficient test procedures for every software application.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

● Working with the software engineers on identifying and refining the verification protocols.

● Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.

● Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.

● Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.

● Writing automation scripts.

● Cypress + JavaScript + K6 browser test automation

● Interacting with software databases.

● Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.

● Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.

● Collaborating with the engineering team to solve application faults.

You should be:

● 3-6 years working as a QA automation engineer.

Curious to learn and assimilate information quickly, enthusiastic to share and teach others.

● Keenly analytical and neurotic about problem-solving.

● An outstanding communicator with sound interpersonal skills.

● Strongly interested in technology and continuous learning.

● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a similar field.

● Experience implementing automated tests using Typescript or Javascript, ideally with Cypress and have knowledge of K6 browser.

● Experience with Python, SQL, Bash and other scripting/compiled languages.

● Excellent analytical skills.

● Detailed knowledge of application functions, bug fixing, and testing protocols.

● Good written and verbal communication skills.

● Strong attention to detail.

● Good time management skills.

● Experience in the fintech industry is a plus

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
