We are looking for someone who has worked with data and data analytics before (either degree level or equivalent), and is looking for the next step in their career. You’ll have good stakeholder management and rapport building skills, as well as being confident interpreting and presenting data to internal and external stakeholders. You’ll have experience using Python, R, and MatLab, as well as working with SQL databases.

The Role:

You will report into our Head of Insight, and will be responsible for analysing, interpreting and delivering data from all of our social media platforms and other sites. This includes data from YouTube, our eCommerce sites, and the GCN App.

  • Content reporting – finding out what makes our audience tick

  • Real Time analysis – when, where, what are our viewers watching?

  • Creating models to derive new insight from existing data

  • Support our teams across all areas of the business with up to date information

  • Working alongside our Agile development team to ensure that data is delivered efficiently

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience interpreting data into insight

  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Working knowledge of Python, R, Matlab

  • Ability to write performant queries to get to the data you want from SQL databases

  • Experience using data tools such as Google Data Studio/Tableau/Microsoft Power BI

  • Using tools to extract data from a wide variety of sources
