Network Infrastructure

The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise. Education Recommendations

Currently a candidate for Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with an accredited school in Canada.

What is Nokia looking for from me

  • Strong interest in software development, ideally having already worked with one or more of PHP, Javascript, Python, MySQL, VueJS, ElectronJS, Turbogears, Selenium, VMware, AWS
  • Optional - Interest and experience with Machine Learning and AI
  • Creative and motivated self-learner ready for a challenge to advance your career to the next level

What you will learn and contribute to

  • Design and develop automation infrastructure and tool enhancements to maximize the effectiveness and productivity of ION Optics feature teams and test teams in their automated test development, execution, and analysis activities.
  • Infrastructure & Tool development activities may include:

    • Web-based database application development using technologies such as PhP, Javascript, Python, Turbogears & MySQL
    • Linux and Windows Application development using Python, VueJS and ElectronJS
    • Machine Learning application within Splunk (Big Data Application)
    • Object Oriented library development using Python and Selenium to interface with the Optical equipment under test
    • Multi-site server and DB management, looking for improved monitoring and management approaches
    • Investigating Highly automated Cloud deployment opportunities for servers running automated tests – considering technologies such as AWS or VMware.
    • Introducing DevOps tools and techniques for automation infrastructure and tool development as well as for automated test development (e.g. Git, GitHub, etc).
  • Work within a multi-site Agile Test Automation team
