THIS IS A 12 MONTH FIXED TERM POSITION.

Major Responsibilities

Perform Manual and Automated Verification of Software and Firmware, with both a functional and non-functional emphasis
Requirements Analysis to define test coverage and traceability
Author and Review manual and automated Test Cases and Procedures
Execution of manual and automated Test Cases / Procedures
Establish, maintain and control test environments to execute both automated and manual verification
Identify tools required to support verification, define intended use and perform validation on test tools
Support estimation and planning of verification activities
Document and manage software defects through to resolution
Resolve issues in a timely and cross-functional manner, working with other teams to efficiently solve problems
Write and review formal V&V Documentation

Required Education, Experience, Skills:
Certificate Degree qualified in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), or equivalent
Skilled in using common test automation frameworks, principles and patterns
Experience working in a team utilizing Agile Methodologies

Experience with the following technologies:
Experience in use of Test Management Tools e.g., ALM / Rational Quality Manager
MS Windows OS, Linux/Unix and MS Office
Management of defects and change using systems such as JIRA
Verification of Application Programming Interfaces
Using test stubs and drivers to facilitate software verification
Attention to detail
Excellent self-management abilities
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

Highly Desirable:
Interest in Histology
Experience working on medical products
An understanding, or prior exposure to software coding (specifically .NET, C# and Python), coding patterns and standards
Experience in a highly regulated industry e.g., medical, defense shall be highly regarded
Understanding of System Engineering Principles
Experience with Firmware Testing Methodologies
