Your Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Software Developer to be focused primarily on developing Python & Django applications within our IT team.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Write well-designed, testable code following the coding standards
• Read and understand Java code and translate to Python & Django application
• Participate in code reviews, document design and ability to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Work with team to develop software test plans and quality assurance procedures
• Maintenance of the existing application via enhancements and production defect support
• Interact with peers, help desk, and management personnel to resolve issues

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Great interpersonal skills and team player
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Development experience with Oracle and MS SQL Server
• Full stack development experience in Python, Django
• Experience with GIT
• Some experience in Agile methodologies and practices
• Automated end-to-end test experience is highly valued

Will be considered an asset:

• Experience of WebLogic/Fusion
• Experience using EJBs, Java Persistence API
• Proven experience building web services and API

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science or equivalent required
• 2 years of related work experience
