You will act in an analytical position covering a portfolio of Structured Finance transactions in Latin America, with a primary focus on Argentina. As a Primary Analyst for these credits, you will perform analytical work and write reports, as well as demonstrating your analytical insight to internal and external audiences in an international working environment. You will also participate in reviewing operational capabilities of issuers and lenders, identifying market trends, and contributing to market research and commentary.

The Team: You will be part of a global and multicultural team that is based in three different locations across Latin America, including Mexico, Argentina and Brazil. Our team specializes in conducting credit analysis on Structured Finance transactions backed by a wide range of asset classes (e.g. Residential and Commercial Mortgages, Equipment Leases, Consumer Credit, Corporate debt, Fintechs, among others).

The Impact: Structured finance is an important sector of the capital markets and is a key funding source and growth driver for many areas of the economy. It is also an alternative source of yield to Institutional Investors. If you are interested in helping to facilitate this growth while challenging yourself in a fast-paced environment, this is the right position for you. It offers the opportunity to work in a collegial culture that puts people first and with great potential for professional development and career growth. To succeed, you must be comfortable with quantitative analysis and have a knack for problem solving.

What’s in it for you: The Associate will analyze a wide variety of Structured Finance transactions (Fideicomisos Financieros) and Trustees in Argentina in a timely and insightful manner. Your opinion will matter to both your colleagues and to market participants (Issuers, Investment Banks and Investors) by demonstrating analytical excellence alongside robust writing skills and the ability to present S&P’s views in front of the highest level of external audiences. You will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality and timeliness of our Structured Finance thought leadership and analytics.
This is a highly visible role in the organization that will involve significant engagement with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across the Americas, with a special focus in the Latin American fast growing region.
The role requires that you interact with many participants in the Structured Finance sector (Issuers, Fintechs, Asset Managers, Investment Banks, Arrangers, Regulators, Intermediaries and other market participants).
The Associate will be an integral part of the analytical team, responsible for full rating process of securizations, what includes cash flow modeling, transaction document analysis and presentations in committees. The Associate will also be involved in several internal projects seeking to streamline the analytical process, and to develop innovative analytical tools.

Responsibilities:
Flexibility and adaptability to assign credit ratings to new structured finance transactions and to conduct surveillance on an existing portfolio predominantly domiciled within Argentina, covering several asset classes.
Manage and execute the rating process with minimal supervision.
Attend meetings and interact with senior management of sponsors to obtain information upon which to base credit rating decisions.
Analyze original, non-routine business problems in a timely, orderly and insightful manner.
Develop and maintain an understanding of industry trends and issues, becoming the market expert across a number of relevant sectors.
Be an analytical role model and mentor junior analysts.

What We’re Looking For:
