About us

We’re a product-led professional services firm specialising in accounting for high growth startups. We’re currently building out our internal accountancy platform to deliver bespoke experiences for our clients to improve efficiencies and save our clients time.

We’re looking for a Product Engineer with good full-stack experience, with a focus on frontend development using HTML/CSS and limited JS. You’ll be joining a growing team of product engineers and managers to build out the platform.

A day in the life of a Product Engineer

You’ll be developing and shaping the future of our suite of web apps. From small internal tools to mission-critical customer-facing apps you’ll work with product managers and team leaders to build products that drive innovation and streamline processes. You have a passion for designing and building beautiful interfaces and thoughtful interactions. You obsess over the customer experience and will help scope technical requirements, design wireframes and work with other developers to execute on those requirements. You’ll also perform code reviews and work with other developers to resolve production issues.


The Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and maintain existing ones

  • Work with product managers to scope technical requirements

  • Perform code reviews, ensuring clean code practices

  • Write high-quality tests

  • Ensure best practices for security are followed when developing applications

Essential skills

  • 3+ years of experience working as a product engineer

  • Experience in delivering web products from idea to deployment

  • Strong experience working and developing in a full-stack environment

  • Strong experience working with Git and issue tracking tools

  • Strong experience with Python and Django

  • Strong experience with building frontend interfaces (HTML, CSS and limited JS)

  • Strong time management, organisational and planning skills

  • Excellent communication skills - in person and written


Our tech stack

Our modular monolith is a Python web application built in Django. Our frontend components are all built using HTML and Django templates utilising our existing design system. For infrastructure we use Northflank (similar to Heroku) so developers can focus on building applications, not running infrastructure.
