As an Engineer in our TechConnect team you will respond and manage 2nd level and 3rd level service requires to investigate technical system incidents, problems and user queries. You will manage the flow of the queries and allocate where needed to different technical SME areas of the business via emails and calls.

What a typical day might look like?

Understand and manage all support team processes, tools and deliverables
Contribute to the analysis and management of issues causing disruption to the system’s stability
Ability to identify areas of process and procedural improvements and drive/assist in implementing them
Manage alerts from monitoring tools for Production Systems/ Servers (on-premises)
Identify, implement and enhance/refine system performance metrics
Timely resolution of errors and outages in production systems
Liaise with vendors, customers and Build & Change resources in a support capacity for incident and problem resolution in relation to the implementation of new releases
Prepare Support-related documentation containing sufficient information and in accordance with required standards
Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and Stakeholders to enable objectives to be achieved
Adhere to relevant SLAs, especially for Incident management
Alignment and adherence with ANZ Group IT strategy, governance, policies, processes and standards and with external regulatory requirements
Identify technology risk and security issues within Tech area and determine remediation plans
Manage CI / CD pipelines using CodeFresh, Terraform, Artifactory & GitHub
Manage application asset lifecycle management (ALM), participate in change impact assessments & lead production readiness reviews

What will likely be in your toolkit?

Platform engineering, integration, problem management and 2+ years experience with one or more cloud-based platforms – AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure
Thorough understanding of ITIL methodologies, especially Incident, Problem, and Change Management
Overall IT experience of 5+ years in Production Support & Maintenance
Experience in using one or more of application & log monitoring applications – Splunk, Dynatrace, etc.
Strong understanding of Windows Applications and Server Admin best practices
Have application programming skills in one or many of – Java, .Net, Python, Powershell / Bash, SQL (managing SQL servers)
SQL scripting, ServiceNow, Active Directory (mandatory)
Excellent written and verbal communication & collaboration skills
