Position Summary:

Data Meaning is a Leading Business Intelligence consulting company, an Alteryx Premier Partner, Tableau Partner, and a growing organization. We provide top consulting services to companies throughout the US, generating flexible solutions for our clients in the areas of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Project Management.

We are looking for a Python/PySpark Developer to join our Engineering team and support ongoing projects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Python experience, experience working with Spark, and excellent English communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of Python web-based applications
  • Develop and maintain Python-based data collection and write testable, efficient code
  • Build process for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from wide variety of data sources (e.g., APIs, CSV, Excel, Other databases, etc.) using Python and SQL (Postgres good to have)
  • Experience working with Spark
  • Develop full-stack applications in languages such as Python, React, Angular, Java and Node.js
  • Collaborate with different teams to find new technical resolutions and optimal ways that can be included to improve efficiency
  • Review user stories, implement solid technical solutions, and participate in code reviews.
  • Participates in Lean-Agile activities including stakeholder reviews, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
  • Push projects through production
  • Write shell scripts to help control the server

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in supporting software products to IT organizations
  • Python and Spark experience is required
  • Conceptual understanding of models/algorithms
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Service now data preferred
  • Applied statistics skills, regression, data profiling & analytics
  • Exceptional English skills, both written and oral communication
