Python Job: Business Analyst

Our client had impressive growth in the past 30 years resulting in employing over 1000 employees worldwide over 10 locations. In the Netherlands, they have 140 employees of nearly 50 different nationalities.

The Business Analyst is responsible for the conception, development, and implementation of reporting dashboards and analysis solutions. This position takes an active support role in sourcing, organizing, and maintaining large volumes of data through the development of innovative tools, reporting dashboards, and well-organized databases.

The business analyst role is challenging and varied and includes providing data services to the EMEA region such as the Executive Information dashboard, performance charts, and departmental performance monitoring tools to the sales and engineering departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with personnel to identify needs/opportunities for improved data management and delivery
• Communicates needed changes to the Senior Management team in informative, well-organized, professional PowerPoint presentations
• Collaborates with management to report KPIs
• Works with Programming staff to ensure that metrics can be obtained consistently
• Develops complex SQL queries and reports
• Implements self-service analytical tools to end-users
• Maintains an understanding in the areas of testing and database design
• Designs and develops dashboard and reporting solutions to enable Senior Management to analyze information and improve decision making
• Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
• Develops functional specifications for client engagements

Required Skills/Experience:

Must have

• Master’s degree in Information Technology Management (or comparable)
• Advanced SQL, Python, VBA, and Excel skills
• Crystal Reports and/or SSRS skills
• Able to communicate sensitive information tactfully
• Strong math, business, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with internal and external parties in
• Ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines

Preferred

• Project Management Certification (PMP)
• Experience with IBM Cognos
• Experience with BIO for Microsoft Dynamics SL
• Experience with SQL Analysis Services (SSAS)
