Location: Office location will be determined dependant on the right applicant, as we have offices based in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane.

YOUR ROLE IN A NUTSHELL:

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for delivering Reporting and Dashboard solutions for key clients across all WPP agencies. This includes updating and maintaining existing reports and dashboards, creating new ETL processes, acquiring data feeds, and building data visualisations.

This position will work closely with agency stakeholders to ensure the accurate delivery of information and data to key clients.

WHAT YOU SHOULD SPEND YOUR TIME DOING:

  • For our business to work, you will be required to spend time of certain areas of the business. Your key responsibilities are as follows:
  • Implementation and delivery of best-in-class reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Updating and maintaining existing reports and dashboards, ensuring accurate results in a time efficient manner.
  • Develop new ETL processes and scripts to drive data automation and operational efficiencies.
  • Build new visually appealing dashboards / reports that allow users to easily digest information, monitor performance, and make business decisions.
  • Keep up to date with advances in data reporting and dashboard technologies.
  • Constantly provide support to your designated client/agency stakeholders and respond to ad hoc request.
  • Build and maintain trusted partnerships with key stakeholders including agencies, clients, and technology vendors such as Datorama and Tableau.
  • Directly liaise with key clients regarding on their reporting needs.
  • Help facilitate and develop reporting and dashboard requirements from a non-technical audience
  • Promote open, collaborative, supportive and dynamic relationships throughout the agency and the network.
  • Engage with other internal WPP teams to share knowledge.
  • Work closely with agency teams to identify opportunities where our product offering can help answer a client’s business problem.
  • Ensure a high level of accuracy with all reports and dashboards.
  • Making sure that projects are on track as per deadlines.
  • Participate in and support new business pitches
  • Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks or issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure a sound, reliable, ethical and robust governance framework is functioning effectively in line with WPP policies and compliance requirements

WHAT IT TAKES:

  • Experience constructing reporting dashboards in a variety of technologies such as Datorama, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge on key functions such as including VLOOKUP’s, SUMIFs, Pivot Tables, etc.
  • A strong understanding of digital media and platforms, i.e. ad servers, Facebook, Google Ads, Campaign Manager, DV360, etc.
  • Outstanding coder, proficient in a range of data science software packages.
  • Highly numerate with an analytical mind and broad understanding of the media industry.
  • High attention to detail, with ability to efficiently and effectively spot errors.
  • A strong client centric mindset, responsive, reliable with ability to manage expectations of internal clients.
  • Actively contributes to the growth of the WPP business.
  • An excellent work ethic, problem solving and proficient time management skills.
  • Able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.

  • Team player with strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidates will have at least 2-5 years’ experience in building reporting dashboards across a range of sectors.
  • Ideally, this experience will be predominately gained working in a Media agency or Marketing Effectiveness Consultancy firm.

COMPETENCIES:

  • MS Office skills with advance knowledge in Excel.
  • Experience with Tableau, Datorama, Power BI and other similar visualisation tools.
  • Coding knowledge in key statistical/data analysis software packages (i.e. R, Python, SQL, VBA, SAS, etc).
  • A degree ideally in economics, stats or actuarial studies, computer science, data science or a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with data cleaning and harmonisation.
  • GCP and AWS certification is an advantage.
