- Owner of the peripheral of the Clamping function (e.g. Clamp sequence, voltage setpoints generation and modulation, backfillgas switching, HIPA)
- Support definition of the functional EPS for all Clamp Calibration Performance Diagnostics (CPDs) (as input for SW EPS)
- Define the EDS for the Clamp Function (covering all clamp types)
- Develop and maintain the clamp CPD scanner tests
- Diagnostics of CPDs and machine parameters (incl. tooling as SDT, TPMS and ESC Cockpit)
- Execute scanner testing
- Interface with Software Team, Waferstage, Electronics (EDEV), Backfillgas (F&T) and Levelling, Metro, SPM, Alignment
- Build knowledge on external functions as WEX, CEX, Mirrorstability, m-actions, etc.
Education and experience
- Highly motivated team player with excellent social, coordination and communication skills
- In depth knowledge of EUV waferstage sequences, CPDs and software framework preferred
- Proficient in tools like Matlab, Python
- Able to provide technical direction, motivate and convince a team of professionals
- Pragmatic / Hands-on mentality
- Ability to work in an international multicultural setting, fluent in English

Introduction to the job
The Electrostatic Wafer Clamps are the mechanical interface between our EUV machine and the wafers that it processes. A product that is key in our machine performance and needs to provide a nanometer stable platform for a million plus wafer passes in a highly dynamic customer environment.
To realize the demanding requirements on overlay, focus, and throughput while ensuring high availability, the clamping function needs to operate optimal within the complex mechatronic system of our machine and the operating conditions of our customer.
We are looking for a mechatronic engineer to help understand and solve the most challenging complex issues and helps us fulfilling our functions roadmap for the EUV and EXE platforms.
Role and responsibilities
As a mechatronic specialist in the EUV wafer clamping group you are our self-propelling technical motor who understanding the details of software interfaces with the waferclamps functionality and uses this to support the definition, qualification and analysis of the waferclamp specific CPD’s and their impact on clamp functionality and performance.
Bachelor, Masters in software, mechatronics or electronics engineering or Applied Physics and 2+ year ASML experience in a relevant technical role preferred
