Our client is an Australian market leading Insurance Company. Due to the ongoing success of the team a brand new position has been created for a Senior Python Engineer.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Engineering robust, reliable software in Python and Open-Source systems

  • Working within an agile team of developers, data scientists, data analysts and analytics partners to build machine learning software solutions

  • Designing and developing APIs in adherence to integration standards

  • Defining database schemas to ensure robust operation and support for current and future solution needs, aligning with the wider D&A approach

SKILLS
The skills and experience you need for this Cloud Data Engineer role:
  • Excellent programming fundamentals in Python

  • Experience in containerisation and microservices architectures; Kubernetes, Docker

  • Comfortable with Linux and bash scripting (e.g. CI/CD)

  • You have created APIs with Flask, FastAPI, Django

  • Strong experience working with databases, having defined schemas or migrated databases

  • Some front-end/web experience is favourable: basic HTML, CSS and JavaScript
