Tasks

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Escalation for issues flagged by Tier 2 Engineers
  • Provide expert level troubleshooting and analysis methods
  • Take a lead in resolving infrastructure related issues
  • Resolution of client high priority and critical issues with business impact
  • Resolution of Escalated or long running challenging cases
  • Raise client environment change requests to implement fixes
  • Mentor Tier 1 & 2 Engineers to aid them in resolving client issues
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Backup & Archive Jobs across client environments
  • Plan & manage clients infrastructure patching
  • Research and development of solutions to new or unknown issues
  • Documentation of support processes issue resolutions
  • Maintain accurate information of clients’ environments and create knowledge base

  • Plan knowledge share workshops with Prod Ops team
  • Assist with business-as-usual projects for supported clients
  • Coordination with Cloud Ops Team members to troubleshoot deployed solutions

Requirements

We are looking for a Support Engineer to join a truly unique business. Our client help companies accelerate their transformation to the Microsoft Cloud. They work with some of the world's largest content creation companies across a wide range of verticals.

As part of the Production Operations Team, the Senior Support Engineer will have a problem-solving attitude towards resolving issues that tiers of support have escalated. The role should mentor team members with an ability to motivate towards troubleshooting and resolving clients' needs.

You will also provide creative application support for Adobe and Avid solutions, workflow advice, engineering support and technical deployment to a range of distinguished clients in all areas of their workflow including ingest, edit, export and delivery; working to offer proactive support to the environments and users.

Experience Required

  • 3-4 years experience in a Support role
  • Understanding of cloud computing and services, ideally Microsoft Azure
  • Practical experience navigating cloud services admin panels (Azure portal)
  • Professional certification Microsoft Azure AZ-900 is beneficial
  • Background in network administration, understanding of networking protocols
  • Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools
  • Familiarity with access control models and network security
  • Knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server
  • infrastructure
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
  • Knowledge of coding languages for Scripting (eg, Python, Perl) is beneficial
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills

The role is UK based and offers remote working, you will occasionally need to attend face to face meetings. The position will pay £45k + benefits.
